Crooked River is an album of purely instrumental music. While Richard Pleasance generally creates music set to pictures on a screen, in this album he seeks to evoke thoughts and images in the mind of the listener.

It was an imaginative challenge that he has long dreamed of tackling. The Covid lock-down in Victoria in 2020 provided him with the perfect opportunity. It was also a creative bonding experience for him and his son Alfie, who played drums and sax and added his own special sauce to the mix.
